경기도의회 문화체육관광위원회 김정호(국민의힘, 광명1) 의원은 11일 문화체육관광위원회 상임위 회의실에서 열린 경기도체육회, 경기도장애인체육회, 경기도수원월드컵경기장관리재단 행정사무감사에서 경기도체육회 정상화를 위한 체육관련사업의 일원화를 촉구했다.

김 의원은 경기도체육회 이상헌 사무처장 직무대행에게 경기도체육회의 주요업무 가운데 체육시설 위탁사업이 경기주택도시공사(이하 GH)로 이관되었고, 또한 경기도청 소속 직장운동경기부 운영조차 GH로 이관되었는데, 위탁 운영기간과 관련근거를 물으며 질의를 시작했다.

이어 김 의원은 “경기도체육회의 전문성을 바탕으로 체육발전의 극대화를 위해 반드시 GH로 이관된 업무를 체육회로 일원화하는 것이 중요하며, 반드시 위탁 운영기간이 만료되면 체육회로의 재이관이 필요하다”고 말했다.

마지막으로 김 의원은 “앞으로 경기도체육회가 올바르고 공정하고 상식이 통하는 체육회가 되도록 노력해달라” 당부하며 발언을 마쳤다.
